Where Can Leightner Projects Be Found?
Orbiting the Earth
We have manufactured custom magnetic components for Lockheed Martin that are utilized in the International Space Station. Leightner worked with SED Systems in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada to produce HV transformers as part of a Japanese satellite experiment.
On The Moon And The Planet Venus
We have worked with the University of Texas on both the Apollo and Pioneer Venus programs for NASA, manufacturing magnetic components that are designed to perform in the harsh environment of outer-space.
In the Sky – Military Airborne Systems
Leightner has manufactured magnetic components for US military program contractors such as Rockwell International, E-Systems, Electronics & Space Corporation, TRW, SCI, Howell Instruments and Boeing.
Protecting Our Country – Missiles, Warheads, and Tanks
We have built magnetic components to exacting standards for the Chrysler Pentastar Tank Program, Babcock Wilcox Warhead Program and SCI’s Stinger Missile Program. We also produced custom magnetics for the new Pentastar Military Electric Hum Vee project.
At Sea – Submarine and Maritime Applications
Leightner has magnetic components on the Trident Class Nuclear Submarine and in commercial maritime equipment .
Oil Field Exploration – Harsh Environments
Our team has manufactured transformers for well logging that are designed to function in severe environments exceeding 240°C.
